Born in East Austin, Handsome Dan’s brings together the best of Texas brewing with the laid-back vibe of classic bait shops. We transformed an old warehouse into something special – a place where craft beverages, quality food, and good folks come together.

House-brewed lagers and hop waters pour cold while fresh sandwiches get stacked high daily. The patio calls for long hangs with good beer and even better company. Exactly the kind of no-fuss neighborhood spot locals love.

  1. It was our first time coming here & we loved it! Although parking is a bit of a hassle because of Austin Eastcider’s (no fault to them), the extra 5min it took to find a spot was worth it. Be prepared to stay vigilant looking for a spot but you’ll be rewarded at Handsome Dan’s with great food & service! The employees were extremely kind at the counter, even offering an extra bag of chips for a split sandwich. We didn’t need it but appreciated the offer.

    We ordered the Italian sandwich & argue that we might be connoisseurs. The bread was soft, delightfully chewy & hearty, keeping a nicely dressed sandwich from becoming soggy. The shaded patio was a noted plus! With a lab that hates the Texas heat, this made it so much easier for us and we can’t wait to be back!

  2. Cute place, close to my work so I gave it a try! Was craving an Italian sandwich. It was good meats and lots of veggies w vinegar and oil- which is what I like. Wish I could had stayed to eat inside, it looked clean and casual seating. Will come back to try other sandwiches! :))

  3. This place is delicious. The handsome club is my fav. My boyfriend and I crave itt. Such a cute spot as well, lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The menu is simple but well done. The ingredients are really fresh. Can’t wait to come back!

  4. I love a good sandwich shop and this place is really good. The tuna was my favorite, I’m big on tuna in general and they definitely did not disappoint.

    The seating was a little awkward for me, but that might just be me lol

  5. These sandwiches are soooo good. Highly recommend the beef and cheddar and the Italian. Throw in $4 pints for HH, sold. 10/10
