Lurrie Bell is one of the greatest living practitioners of Chicago blues and a guitarist whose soulful playing has earned him worldwide acclaim.

Born in Chicago in 1958, he is the son of legendary harmonica player Carey Bell and grew up surrounded by blues icons including Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Big Walter Horton, and Sunnyland Slim.

By his late teens, Bell was already performing alongside many of the artists who helped define the Chicago blues sound.
