Comedy: Prita Blunts
Priya Blunts is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from Queens, New York, known for her fearless, deeply personal comedy that blends self-deprecating humor with sharp observations about identity, relationships, mental health, and growing up South Asian in America.
She describes her comedy as “emotional alchemy”—transforming her own struggles and insecurities into laughter that resonates with audiences.
Blunts has become a familiar face on the New York comedy scene, performing regularly at renowned clubs including The Stand, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and The Grisly Pear.
During the pandemic, she founded the Queens Squared Mic, an open mic that began on a Brooklyn rooftop before moving to The Tiny Cupboard.
The show was created to provide a welcoming stage for comedians from underrepresented communities, particularly people of color and LGBTQIA+ performers.
