Halloween Children’s Concert (pre-concert activities, too!)

Your little ghost or goblin will help haunt Long Center´s Dell Hall for Austin Symphony Orchestra´s annual Halloween Children´s Concert. This exciting concert features frightfully fun symphonic music that is stimulating for young eyes and ears (ages 4-11).
This season, your ASO will feature “The Composer is Dead,” a riotous collaboration between composer Nathaniel Stookey and children´s author Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) that combines two elements of great storytelling: music and suspense. ASO Assistant Conductor Pablo Zamora will lead the orchestra and Austin-based actor Andre Martin (The Staircase and Walker) will narrate this gripping murder mystery where every member of the orchestra is a suspect!
Pre-Concert Activities for kids start at 2pm on the Long Center´s H-E-B Terrace, and the one-hour narrated concert will follow at 3pm in Dell Hall. Don´t forget to enter our Spooktacular Costume Contest-prizes will be awarded onstage during the concert, including for The Scariest, The Most Original, and “Best-Dressed Dead Composer.”
