Cocktail Steel with Rose Sinclair

Cocktail Steel with Rose Sinclair is one of Austin’s most unique weekly live music experiences, bringing together classic big band swing, bossa nova, lounge jazz, and Western swing with the unmistakable sound of the non-pedal steel guitar.

The group performs regularly on Sunday evenings at Sam’s Town Point, one of South Austin’s most beloved neighborhood honky-tonks.

Led by acclaimed steel guitarist Rose Sinclair, Cocktail Steel reimagines jazz standards, vintage swing tunes, and Brazilian bossa novas through the warm, expressive voice of the steel guitar.

The band’s sophisticated sound blends vibraphone, piano, Hammond organ, upright bass, drums, and percussion, creating an atmosphere inspired by tiki lounges, mid-century cocktail bars, and classic supper clubs.
