Live Music: Shad Blair

Shad Blair is an Austin-based Texas singer-songwriter whose music blends traditional country, Americana, folk, blues, and roots rock.

Raised on a cattle ranch near Post, Texas, Blair learned guitar from his father and was influenced by classic country legends including Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Gene Watson, and later by Texas songwriters such as Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt, and Steve Earle.

Before pursuing music full-time, he worked in the oilfields while putting himself through college, experiences that continue to shape the authentic storytelling found in his songs.
