Best live music on 6th. Great staff, awesome drink specials, something different every day. The solo performers were surprisingly good, and we also had fun at the Open Mic thing they did. We’ll be back!

Awesome drinks, awesome service and awesome environment! Lion, the bartender was serving them up all night while the band played some CCR. I also recommend the seasonal cocktail menu! When on 6th!

We were passing by to get pizza and the door guy was super chill so we had to stop by! Mark was our bartender and he was bad ass! After going to 5 different bars, he was the most chill bartender and made our night! Kudos to Mark we will be back again

Rambled into this place on a Friday mid-afternoon. Terrific live music with a peaceful country vibe. Bartender (Lion) was so welcoming and kind, my friend and I had great drinks and could actually hear each other. The performer walked over at a break and introduced herself, very classy! We went back on Saturday evening; it was louder and more lively. Great spot!!

Oh my! A Gem of a dive bar.

This place was well spaced out and well stocked for a bar ready for the extra 2 million people in the area visiting for SxSW.
The bartender is world class friendly and the kind of bartender that makes you feel at home. I felt comfortable as soon as I ordered from him and promoted a lot of fun and interaction with everyone in the place. It really felt good.
The beerpong table is always setup either in the front or back of the place with an option for the windows to all open up pending on weather. The layout was perfect and there were many places to socialize and put a drink down at.
Prices were very reasonable and fun was to be had.

Really cool bar. We had a blast and the atmosphere is chill. The doorman was very friendly and proactively kept trouble away during SXSW. We felt safe, comfortable and had a total blast. Good drink selection.

Had a great time there last night. Terrific live band, Sonny Wolf, who really rocked the house. Super place with a great atmosphere. Super friendly staff, from the door guys to the staff to the attentive bartenders. Come early for the happy hour pricing and stay for the live music. One of 6th’s best bars….

Came out in the afternoon and was wondering what bar would be open and I was happy to find this spot. First things first the bartender (I wish I got his name) was super cool. Very helpful with suggesting their local brews. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Prices are also cheap. Once i come back out to austin, this will definitely be the bar that I would go back to.

I’ve been to dizzy many times before, usually at night, and usually in a daze of sorts. On this particular day, and it was during the daytime, I was taking a break from the Rock n Roll lifestyle, and decided that a beer and a shot were a good way to kill time. So i walked over to sixth, saw the guitar guy play the happy hour set, and decided this is where i will rest. Before i even sat down, the bartender, Travis, i think, nodded an acknowledgment at me and came to ask me what i was in the mood for shortly after helping the last person.
I asked for a Shiner, and he suggested some other local fare, such as austin amber. Another favorite if mine, so i obliged. Also a shot of Jameson. No problem. And in proper daytime drinking fashion, Travis, opened another bottle and poured another shot, when it seemed i was almost done. Again, great.
After the quick 2 beers and 2 shots, i paid my tab and headed out.
Overall great stop and I’m sure I’ll stagger in the again sometime soon.

We loved this place! Great atmosphere and music. They had an incredible live band, one of the best we’ve seen in Austin! They had cool tvs and a fortune teller… Really what else could you ask for? Going back tonight!!

Packed? Yup. Jello shots? Yup. Great music? Yup. This is divey and dirty and grimey but it is so much fun. The people are friendly and the music is great.
